Investment Opportunities. If you have more money in your HSA Deposit Account than you need to pay for your qualified medical expenses, UMB Bank provides two options for investing additional funds that may allow you to earn higher yields on your HSA funds. You can select either the Money Market Sweep Account or you can request UMB to open an HSA Brokerage Account with UMB Financial Services, Inc. where excess funds in your HSA Deposit Account are invested in a self-directed brokerage account in your name. Once you direct UMB to open a UMB Financial Services HSA Investment Account, you'll have access to a wide range of mutual fund options designed to provide you with investment choices to meet your objectives. This self-directed brokerage account features 7 nationally recognized mutual fund families with more than 175 individual funds from which to select, so every investor should be able to design an investment plan to meet their individual needs.
